If you’re new to my website, you probably noticed that my last blog post was from 2023 – other than this post, of course. Depending on the year you’re here (hello, future reader!), that’s probably a veerrrryyy long time.
So, why aren’t there other posts? What happened? Why is the blog still up if I’m not using it?
Why aren’t there other posts/what happened:
I switched to full-time writing books. In the beginning, I was writing blog posts for experience and to connect with my small batch of readers. I loved posting my short stories, book reviews, and thoughts here, but now that I’m a full-time SAHM mom of several littles and trying to write full-length books, blogging has slipped. And I didn’t even realize it until nearly two years after my last post. Which told me that this season of my life isn’t for blogging. Maybe one day I’ll start again, but I’m not sure if or when that’ll happen.
Why is the blog still up:
I considered deleting the blog aspect off of my website. I’m not using it anymore after all. But that felt like deleting growth. You can watch my writing change, grow, and evolve over the years. The short stories from years ago may not be “my best work” but they’re my work. And I still love them. The snippets of 2022 Storm are here, immortalized on the internet. So I’m leaving it up simply for nostalgic purposes.
Now, since I do really have to get back to editing, I will bid you adieu. I’m glad you stumbled across my website, even if it’s not perfect – but then again, only one being ever was perfect.
